When: Tuesday, March 16 @ 7.45pm
Where: Friends Meeting House, Ship Street, Brighton
Why:-
Jobs and services are coming under increasing attack – but the good news is that workers are fighting back.
From last year’s factory occupations at Visteon and Vestas, to the victory on Brighton’s bins, we are showing that we can resist, and we can win.
Brighton Workers Solidarity Group was formed to support the Vestas occupation, and continues to campaign for workers who are fighting, whoever they may be. It has been instrumental in building the March 6 March for Jobs.
We need to do more, and broaden our network of activists both in and out of the trade unions. Our next meeting will debate the way forward for the group and include a report back from the Right to Work Conference in Manchester to get a sense of the growing mood of resistance across the country. We shall also be organising practical support for workers in dispute in the Brighton area.
Everyone who wants to help build the resistance is welcome.
Organised by Brighton Workers Solidarity Group
